Do You Count Calories Or Do You Count Carbs?
Carbs Or Calories? Which One Should You Watch?
Time and time again I’ve had people ask me whether it’s more important to watch calories or should they be more concerned with watching carbs. Well, I’ll give you the same answer I’ve given all of them. You need to watch them both.
Too Much Of A Good Thing
Your body needs carbs and your body needs calories. Without these things, your body can’t thrive. However, if you consume too much of either of these things, you’re going to gain weight. If you need to lose weight, there’s only one way to do it. You need to reduce your caloric intake – whether that means cutting back on carbs or cutting back on other things – the main thing to remember is that your caloric reduction needs to be taken from somewhere.
You Do Need To Keep Some Carbs
While I did say you can reduce your caloric intake by cutting carbs, I do not mean you can cut carbs out of your diet completely. Make sure you get enough “good carbs” to keep your body functioning properly. If you don’t consume any carbs at all, your body will start to wear down and you could become ill.
