Carbs Are Not Inherently Bad
Here’s the deal, carbs are not inherently bad. In fact, your body needs some carbs in order to function properly. That being said, however, it’s important to understand that too many carbs are a bad thing. If you consume too many carbs, your body converts those carbs into stored energy -- otherwise known as fat.
Low-Carb Diet Basics
The way low-carb diets work is that by severely restricting your intake of carbs, your body starts burning fat as an energy source. Cutting back on carbs is indeed wise if you’re consuming too many. But depriving your body of the carbs it needs is not a good idea.
